Evil King Jabin has been in power for 20 years – but who is brave enough to defeat him? Deborah and Jael are two strong women. They are ready to stand up and use their bravery and wisdom to help their people and serve God.

In this poetic retelling of the well-known Bible story, found in Judges, children will discover how God uses His friends to bring peace and defeat evil.

Lucy Rycroft writes popular Christian parenting blog Desertmum (lucyrycroft.com). Formerly a teacher and PGCE lecturer, she now divides her time between freelance writing, blogging and raising her kids. She writes regularly for Home for Good, is the author of Redeeming Advent, and this is her first book for children. Lucy lives in York with her husband and their four children.

Beth has always loved telling stories with pictures, something she has done since she was old enough to hold a crayon. She has worked as an illustrator for a number of years. Over this time Beth has produced interesting, vibrant artwork for a wide range of clients from global publishing houses to individuals on independent commissions.

Beth studied Art at the University of Arts London (BSAD – Art Foundation), she did a degree in Visual Communication, specialising in Illustration (BA Hons) at Birmingham City University (UCE) and also studied Art at Postgraduate level at Reading University.
