Royal Birds

COMING SOON

Release Date: 1 September 2019

God's Overcoming Daughters.

The allegory of the Ugly Duckling contains a powerful message: the duckling had no idea of its own potential or destiny until one day it saw its reflection in the water – and in that pivotal moment, realised it was a swan.

Journey with Lyn as she explores, through testimony and teaching, how each of us can reclaim our identity as a precious daughter of God. Find freedom from an Ugly Duckling mentality and step into your destiny as one of the King’s Royal Birds.

As you read this book, I pray that you will start to see your own likeness reflected in the image of a graceful and powerful swan,

Rev. Toni Bennett

Anglican Priest

Do you need a helping hand because life is tough, depressing or debilitating? Then reach out and take the hand of the One who can restore, renew, revive and heal you. That person is Jesus Christ! Take His hand and walk with Him and let Him show you His love; that’s what Lyn Peterson did, and you can too. Do you need a helping hand because life is tough, depressing or debilitating? This book is not a fairy tale, it is a reality check.
Yes, those of us who have become the sisters of Jesus, the children of our loving, nurturing God through embracing the resurrection life of his Son, should be full of joy, peace, love, kindness, hopefulness and all the other positives of human flourishing that one would care to list.
But the reality is that so many of us are wounded and hurting – and because of our wounding, negativity triumphs over the goodness we know lies deep within us.
Lyn has used the well-known story of the ugly duckling to shine a light on our inability to live the life God has given us and to unveil a vision of hope through the power of Christ. I found within the rich imagery of Royal Birds a helpful focus for prayer.
As you read this book, I pray that you will start to see your own likeness reflected in the image of a graceful and powerful swan, for this is who you truly are as a sister of the Saviour and daughter of the King.
